«Լոյսի» արարողության վերաբերյալ Իսրայելի ոստիկանությունը իր որոշած սահմանափակումների մասին Երուսաղեմի հայոց պատրիարքությանը տեղեկացնելուց հետո, պատրիարքության տարածած հաղորդագրության հրապարակումից երկու օր անց Երուսաղեմի Հին քաղաքի ոստիկանատան քրիստոնյաների բաժնի պատասխանատու սպան հեռաձանով տեղեկացրեց, որ արարողությանը հայ մասնակիցների թիվը 200-ից բարձրացվել է 450-ի: Այս մասին հայտնում է Պատրիարաքարանի դիվանապետ հայր Կորյուն Բաղդասարանը։
Պատրիարքությունը իր անհամաձայնությունը հայտնեց նաև այս թվի վերաբերյալ և ձեռնակեց իրավատեր համայնքների հետ միասնական բողոք-նամակ գրելուն:
Այսօր իրավատեր երեք համայնքների Հոգևոր պետերը՝ Երուսաղեմի հայ պատրիարքը, Երուսաղեմի հույն ուղղափառ պատրիարքը և Սուրբ Երկրի Քուստոսը հետևյալ միասնական նամակն են ուղարկել Իսրայելի մեծաարգո նախագահ տիար Իսահակ Հերցոգին.

We send you our warm greetings and hope that our letter reaches Your Excellency in good health.
We are jointly writing this letter in regard to the unacceptable proposed restrictions and fixed number of attendees for the Easter celebrations.
On April 11, 2022, churches in Jerusalem were informed by the Police that only 1,000 Christian faithful would be allowed to enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to worship for Easter, although it is customary for thousands more to enter the church in celebration on this day. Furthermore, the police have said that they will allow only 500 people to enter the Christian Quarter and the overlooking roof of the church courtyard.
The Heads of Churches responsible for the Holy Sepulchre and forming the Status Quo Committee express deep concern and disagreement to this unfair and unexplainable decision that limits the rights of Christian pilgrims to worship freely on our faith’s most important day of the year. This holy service of worship, achieved through careful and prayerful collaboration among the churches, has been ongoing for centuries; and overcrowding has never been an issue or gave rise to concerns about safety or security.
The worldwide Christian community interprets these restrictions as unfairly targeting the Christian minority. The Status Quo Committee is committed to a safe ceremony and requests that Israel upholds its standards of the right to worship to allow Christians to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ without restriction or limitation.
The Status Quo Committee calls on Israel to secure the right of the churches to practice their customs and ceremonies as usual and allow Christian pilgrims to freely enter the Old City and journey to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. After a challenging two years of various and at times severe restrictions due to the pandemic, it is vital that all communities are once again allowed to worship freely and without constraints.
We are confident of Your Excellency’s wise intervention on our behalf and we take this opportunity to extend to Your Excellency a Hag Pesach Sameach, may you spend it in health and happiness with you family and loved ones.
