The Azerbaijani Armed Forces, with the support of Turkey, continue their military aggression against the Nagorno-Karabakh population unabated. The fighting is increasingly expanded to include Armenia's territory. Some areas of Armenia have already been bombed. More F-16 fighter planes of the Turkish Air Force are being used, which have shot down an Armenian armed forces fighter plane. Azerbaijan also uses combat drones, tanks, artillery, various missile launcher systems and other military equipment.
Over the past few days, we have seen numerous media reports including Reuters, BBC, The Guardian, The Jerusalem Post, who pointed out that Turkey is transporting Islamist mercenaries from Syria to Azerbaijan, officially joining Azerbaijan's side in the war against the population Involved by Nagorno-Karabach. This is a clear attempt to export terrorism to the South Caucasus.
Armenia is for PEACE. This is about the physical existence of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh. We want to resume the peace process, but we cannot allow Turkey to do another crime against humanity. Never again genocide.
NATO member Turkey's war participation is fire-threatening and can have catastrophic consequences beyond the Southern Caucasus region.
Some countries have already condemned Turkey's action.
We call on the federal government to condemn the acts of war of Turkey in Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia. It's finally time for the civilized world to stand against the Neo-Ottoman ambitions of Erdogan.
Meanwhile, the humanitarian situation in Stepanakert and other regions of Nagorno-Karabakh is continuing to increase. The capital Stepanakert, the Martakert and Hadrut districts, as well as their adjacent areas, are under particularly strong fire. Numerous residents had to be evacuated and brought to safety. Civilian casualties are to be complained.
Against this background, I also call on the German churches and aid organizations to respect the suffering of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh and to support them with humanitarian assistance on the ground.
