The Armenian Communities Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation has developed a grant program for young individuals in Lebanon who wish to implement creative and innovative projects in the Western Armenian language.

The Creative Culture Program is one of the five pillars of the Foundation's strategy concerning its engagement in Lebanon, and is the main tool through which its focus on youth and creativity would be materialized and supported.

The Program aims to support creative minds and cultural practitioners in Lebanon and give them the chance to develop creative and innovative initiatives conceived and undertaken in the Western Armenian language. In Dr. Razmik Panossian's words, the Director of the Armenian Communities Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, "It is absolutely necessary to provide young people a chance to imagine their contemporary culture in Armenian, to express their own ideas and feelings, to reflect their own realities, in short, to own the language through their creativity. This Program gives voice to the Armenian youth of Lebanon, it listens to them rather than dictates to them, and as such, it is central to the Department's mission to ensure the vitality of Western Armenian in the 21st Century."
