The pianist Mariam Kharatyan will perform in the release concert of Komitas and Khachaturian Albums in Oslo.

Kharatyan will perform a Recital of Komitas’ and Aram Khachaturian’s music on the 13th of November, at 19.00, in the Sentralen concert hall in Oslo. In the program of the evening are Komitas' Seven Dances for piano - Yot Par, and Msho Shoror, rooted on origins of Armenian folk dances and folk instruments style. She as well will perform selected Armenian folk songs by Komitas, arranged for piano by Villy Sargsyan. From Aram Khachaturian's music, she will play the Poem and Toccata, and Villy Sargsyan's arrangements for piano - Lullaby and Adagio from ballets Gayaneh and Spartacus. The concert marks the release of Kharatyan's two Albums: Komitas, Shoror, and Aram Khachaturian, Chamber Music, presented by prestigious Norwegian record label Simax Classics and Grappa. Komitas and Khachaturian Albums were recorded during 2018 in Kristiansand, in Norway, throughout Kharatyan's four-year Ph. D. Artistic Research Project ARMENIAN FINGERPRINTS - interpreting the piano music of Komitas and Khachaturian in light of Armenian folk music.

In Aram Khachaturian, Chamber Music are presented the Song-poem, the Dance for violin and piano, seldom performed and neglected composition of Khachaturian - the Sonata for violin and piano, the Trio for clarinet, violin and piano, the Lullaby and Adagio from ballets Gayaneh and Spartacus arranged by A. Pivazyan, and the Sabre Dance from Gayaneh ballet, arranged by R. Asatryan. Kharatyan recorded the compositions of this album together with violinist Adam Grüchot, clarinetist Stig Nordhagen, and cellist Leonardo Sesenna.

In album Komitas, Shoror, Kharatyan recorded the Seven Dances for piano - Yot Par, and Msho Shoror, and selected folk songs played on piano together with Vigen Balasanyan on traditional instruments duduk and blul. The album is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Komitas.
