Actor Jan Tříska is set to travel to Febiofest from the US, where he resides, to receive the Kristián Award for his contribution to world cinema. He will receive the Kristián statuette at the gala opening taking place at Prague’s Municipal House on March 23rd, as will American director Abel Ferrara and British cinematographer of Polish origin Peter Ossietzky, who will be presented with their awards during the festival. The New Europe competition will feature Filthy by director Tereza Nvotová and Tereza Kotyk’s film Home is Here, which are Czech co-productions. As every year, the festival will feature the Febiofest Junior section for children and parents.
